Review: Edition; High School Carrie (Spacek Sissy) unleashes fury Telekinetic her on their tormentors. This is a Big Hit in 1976 and scared me silly. It does not scare me now (With the exception of the closing sequence), but I still think it's a treat Beautiful hard horror movie by Brian De Palma. it moves quickly, with some nice pictures (Everything is muted color soft focus) and have taken almost uniform Good. The only bad thing is played by John Travolta way out of its depth as Hood. Amy Irving (as study who befriends Carrie a), William Katt (a lot of Afro 70), Nancy Allen (who plays a bitch True), Betty Buckley (so young and full of energy) and PJ sole (silly, but tolerable ) are all excellent. Spacek Piper Laurie is superb but very scary and wonderful, when deranged, her mother was religious Touch. This film is (By today's standards) very carefully in the blood.
